Bonds set at $1 million in missing man case

Shaffer

A man and woman from Bartlesville made their first court appearance Friday afternoon in connection with a missing Bartlesville man.

Judge Stuart Tate set habeas corpus bonds at $1 million apiece for Trysta Alberta Eileen Shaffer, 27, of Bartlesville, and Rusty Boyd Petty, 40, of Bartlesville. Both are involved in the disappearance of Timothy Allen Hauser, 62, of Bartlesville, who was last seen leaving the Osage Casino in Bartlesville on Aug. 9. Hauser is believed to be the victim of robbery and foul play, and deputies have been searching for his body by air and by ground over a wide stretch of Osage County.

Petty

Shaffer and Petty are being held on pending charges of conspiracy to commit robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.  Judge Tate said that probable cause affidavits have been

completed for the charges to be filed, but the state has not had time to review them yet. The pair will make their next court appearance Tuesday.

On Thursday, Shaffer led deputies to CR 2145 of Dave Ware corner, where deputies found contents of Hauser’s wallet, including his social security card.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Hauser is asked to call the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at 918-287-3131.
