The State Livestock Showmanship contest will be held in two weeks at the Oklahoma Youth Expo. In order to compete you must have won showmanship in your respective division at your county livestock show. There are four species represented and three divisions each based on age. Skiatook schools will have five individuals representing them at the contest in Oklahoma City, which include Sawyer Seago, Champion Junior Beef Showman; J.C. Wilson, Champion Junior Swine Showman; Jarrod Nicholson, Champion Junior Sheep Showman; Parker Cantrell, Champion Intermediate Beef Showman; Miranda Stotz, Champion Senior Beef Showman.
Skiatook also had four students finish as Runner Ups, who go to Oklahoma City to compete if the Champion does not attend. They include Karstyn Cantrell, Reserve Champion Junior Beef Showman; Gaylen Van Wyck, Reserve Champion Intermediate Beef Showman; Kory Wilson, Reserve Champion Intermediate Swine Showman; Jake Nicholson, Reserve Champion Senior Sheep Showman.
