Thanks to no fault of our own, our online subscribers were booted off the ‘net starting Jan. 1. Come May 2, we’re going to introduce a new online subscription system that will be easier, prettier and less unwieldy than the old one.
Rachel Anne Seymour has devoted a lot of time and effort building the new system, which will have a flip book newspaper with pages that, you know, flip, along with more photos and friendly graphics.
While those who are willing to allow us to make a living working for a newspaper will love it, those of you who want us to work for free might find the new system a little annoying.
We have been offering free content on our website, but that will be reduced in the new system. Synopses of articles will be available, but if you want to read the whole thing, you’re going to have to pay 25 cents per story, $1 for a whole issue, or $35 a year for a full annual subscription.
We don’t want to work for free anymore!
