Pawhuska agrees to deed land for new DHS building

The Oklahoma Department of Human Services move out of Pawhuska’s Kennedy Building inched closer to reality on Monday night, when the Pawhuska City Council approved an agreement to deed two acres to the state for a new building at Short and McKenzie. Under the terms of the agreement, the state will build, equip and maintain a new facility and maintain or exceed its current staffing level.
